Special Events & Classes
Camp Sew Fun Our annual Kid's Camp is open to children, ages 9 and up. A simple quilt project will be sewn by machine. Class is limited to 8 students. Ask or click here for supply list. Snacks provided. *Sewing machine required (MUST know how to operate). Students not picked up in a timely manner will be assessed a fee. 5 sessions, $125 Monday through Friday 10-12:30 - July 28 to August 1 Ages 9-up........Instructor, Leslie Pfeifer
Summer Quilt Camp Camp is something we often looked forward to as children, so why shouldn't we have a similar experience as adults? We have a lot of fun and accomplish some good work at the same time. You may bring a project from home or make the optional class project. Instructor will teach from 10am to 2pm, but students may stay and sew until the shop closes if you choose. Limited to 8 students. Ask for supply list. Summer Quilt-In Join us for a weekend of sewing (no cooking). You may bring whatever you are working on or start a new project. A light lunch will be provided on Saturday, and on Sunday morning, we'll get you going with brunch, all included. Take advantage of this enjoyable opportunity for you to meet friends, sew, sew, sew, and have some fun. Sunday School/Monday School With an instructor available to answer any and all questions about your special project, students should expect help completing unfinished projects as well as new ones. Learn from other students as they work through decisions and technical problems. Everyone participates in the process with the support of new friends. The Big Mystery Weekend Are you ready for some fun? As you work through the multiple steps, the quilt will slowly evolve until the mystery is solved. Learn new skills and watch all the possibilities develop as everyone works in their own palette. Come and have a great time. Art Quilt Study Group Series This group of classes is dedicated to everyone who has an interest in the composition and construction of art quilts. You do not have to be an "art quilter" to join, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment with new techniques and materials. The classes are sequential, but the numbers do not designate skill level. Please come, have fun, and challenge yourself to explore some new ideas.
Art Quilt 102
Continue exploring art quilt basics through the study
of color and color schemes. This is a continuation of Art Quilt 101,

Art Quilt 103 In this class, students will learn to push their boundaries and work outside their comfort zones. Art Quilt Toolbox Series Open to all, but geared toward art quilters, students will investigate specific techniques you can incorporate directly into your fiber art. Tsukineko Ink Basics Sure, they look like fun, but what can you do with them? This introductory class will cover how to apply these versatile inks with brushes and Fantastix applicators. No Toolbox Class in July 2008
*NEW*All About Angelina Angelina fibers are so pretty, but how do you use them? In this technique class, we'll explore the basics of mixing and bonding Angelina fibers and learn to emboss the Angelina sheets we create. We'll also discuss how to use the fibers and how to embellish them for a variety of applications. Check back for the supply list. Supplies will be available at the Quilt Patch.
