Friday Night Sewing Circle
This year we’ll explore Diamond Patchwork. Each student will choose a simple quilt block and draft it into a 45 or 60 degree diamond. Playing with light, medium and dark, we’ll create tumbling blocks from the diamonds. Make whatever size quilt you wish. Setting shapes will also be discussed. Heritage Block of the Month
Kay has selected a new Marti Michell BOM called Heritage. There are 13 traditional blocks which surround a medallion center. Color choices are up to the students so yours can be anything from reproduction to batiks. Our staff will make you a personal kit based on your individual preferences. Gooseberry Falls by Whirligig Designs is a great quilt to perfect a multiple  flying geese technique (and they all come out the exactly the size they are supposed to!) We will have dinner and snacks (Catered by Kathy and Leslie) and a great time sewing the evening away.  The kit is all pre-cut so there is no lost time.  If you want an extra kit, just let us know.  Ask or click here for supply list. *Sewing machine required. 1 session, $99

Take a quilting journey through Ken Burns’ Civil War Series.  Kits are made with authentic reproduction fabrics by Judie Rothermel.  We will make a block each month and explore the history of a battle from both points of view.  Fabric kits, pattern and Limited Edition tote bags are included in class fee.  Ask or click here for supply list. *Sewing machine required.  12 sessions, $240 (payable in 4 payments if you prefer)

Sunday School/Monday School
With an instructor available to answer any and all questions about your special project, students should expect help completing unfinished projects as well as new ones. Learn from other students as they work through decisions and technical problems. Everyone participates in the process with the support of new friends. Membership for six months, $72 (Prorated if joining late)

Winter Quilt-In
Join us for a weekend of sewing (no cooking.) You may bring whatever you are working on or start something new. A light lunch will be provided on Saturday, and on Sunday morning we’ll get you going with brunch, all included. Take advantage of this enjoyable opportunity for you to meet friends, sew, sew, sew and have some fun. Ask for supply list. 2 sessions, $120

Art Quilt Study Group Series

This group of classes is dedicated to everyone who has an interest in the composition and construction of art quilts.  You do not have to be an "art quilter" to join, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment with new techniques and materials.  The classes are sequential, but the numbers do not designate skill level.  Please come, have fun, and challenge yourself to explore some new ideas.

 

Art Quilt 101 -- New Session!
Appropriate for all levels of experience, this class will explore basic art concepts and elements of design.  Homework assignments will reinforce class discussions and are designed to help students develop their own artistic identities.  Click here for the questionnaire; please complete it and bring it to the first session. 4 sessions, $60
