Events at the Quilt Patch
In August, we hosted a fun event called Introducing the 3 Series. We made Maggie Bags (a pattern by Lazy Girl Designs) and played with the new machines, learning all about their special features.

On Tuesday, September 28, we're hosting another free event at the shop. We'll embroider and sew and learn all about the capabilities of the 820 and 830 machines. Participants will take home a bag they've sewn, receive a goodie bag full of wonderful stuff, and have special sale opportunities.

Sign up now to reserve your free seat at this special event.

Have Your Machine Serviced Now
Our service department (Fred and Mike) tell us they are pretty caught up and are ready for some more machines to service. Have you been putting it off? Now's the time! Call us to make an appointment for your Bernina or Featherweight.

New! Limited Offer Specials
From time to time, we have special items to offer in very limited quantities. When we do, we'll highlight it here. Click here to read about our current offer. And be sure to check back often.

Leslie's Letter
Dear Quilting Friends,

There are a few spaces left in the Charlotte Angotti classes. You are in for a really great time, so be prepared to learn and laugh. She is one of the most popular teachers at Festivals and retreats all over the U.S. and we’re excited to have her coming to The Quilt Patch. If you can’t get away to Houston or another big symposium, then enjoy having Charlotte come to you. Sign up early especially if you are interested in “Let Me Surprise You.”

Our Annual Market Party was a big success if you take attendance and enthusiasm into account. The shop looked wonderful with all of the new models and trunk shows. I owe huge thanks to my terrific and talented staff for all of their hard work in making new pieces, re-doing the shop and working at the party. I couldn’t do any of it without them. An additional thank you to Kathy Gray who also walked the aisles of Quilt Market with me, helping me find and order new merchandise for the shop.

We’ve just returned from Bernina University, full of excitement and ideas for classes and events. The new 3-Series was unveiled and you’re going to love it. The 330, 350PE and 380 are loaded with features, ALL have an automatic buttonhole and the 380 comes WITH a wheeled tote as part of the accessories package. On August 24, we will host a free event to introduce the new 3-Series in the morning and again in the evening which will give you an opportunity to try out the new machines and make a cute project to take home. Space is limited and you must reserve a space if you wish to attend. Call the shop so we can save you a spot. Watch the website for announcements of other upcoming events!

Also at BU, Mike took classes on servicing other brands of machines and we will begin taking in Singer Featherweights for COA (Clean, Oil, and Adjust) in September. We hope to be able to offer service for others in the near future.

We are looking forward to the fall, and COOLER weather. It was cooler in Florida during BU than here in Virginia. How is that possible? Remember to take some time for yourself during the upcoming season and however you choose to celebrate, please enjoy the best of the holidays to follow.

Happy Quilting,
